I know it sounds weird. This is not a guacamole dessert. I promise.
But just like avocados that get blended into green smoothies, you can’t really taste it. Blended avocado often just makes recipes a bit more creamy + decadent. Healthy too. And satisfying because of it’s great healthy fat content. But without any guilt, cheating mentality or other negative ways most people look at dessert.
Because I don’t believe in that.
At dessert, or any other time.
Only love of every bite.
As long as it’s real food, of course.
And that you’re mindful what you’re choosing to eat, why and when. Which is much easier when you eat real food as your default way of living. Just in case you need some extra motivation to make the switch. It’s all connected.
Because when your food ingredients are simple, real and pure, there is just no need for all of that other mental stuff. You eat it, you love it, you feel great from it. It’s simple. This recipe is a great example of that.
Plus, it’s chocolate.
So there’s that.
It’s also so easy to make, has no refined, artificial or processed sugars, and made with ingredients your probably have in your kitchen right now. And naturally gluten, dairy + egg free too. And good. Like maybe tastes-too-good-to-be-true, kind of good. But not.
The best kind.
Creamy Chocolate Avocado Pudding
Makes approx 3 ramekin servings
2 very ripe avocados
6 TB unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tsp vanilla extract
4 TB honey or maple syrup
*splash of coconut milk, hemp milk, organic cream or whole milk [optional] or add a few splashes of water for easier blending.
Place ingredients in a high powered blender or food processor. Taste. Add more sweetener if desired, depending on your tastebuds. Add to ramekins, cover well with saran wrap and let chill for 2 hours before serving.
