This SEPTEMBER ✨: I’m challenging myself: 10 minutes of yoga or stretching or foam rolling a day. I posted it on instagram the other day and you guys went wild saying YES, YOU NEED IT TOO.
My BODY needs it more than ever (post birth & carrying my baby love around).
My MIND needs it (always).
And my HEART needs it (as we transition from my favorite season of summer into fall ).
Anyone else?
The lie I sometimes tell myself is that I don’t have time these days. That if it’s not a full or hard workout or a full yoga class that it’s not worth it. But, that’s really so ridiculous.
Because it’s something that will help me physically, mentally and emotionally show up as my best and feel my best in this season ahead. To get quiet, to listen and care for my body and self. It’s just as important. I NEED it now more than ever.
Anyone else want to join me? We can keep each other accountable. I’m using these tags if you want to see and add your own versions: #simplyrealseptember#10minsaday

Some things that have helped motivate me?
The Peleton App: I’m obsessed with this lately. Nope, not sponsored, just have found it so freaking helpful as a new mom. The app is free for your first 2 weeks, then just $20/month for unlimited guided classes of all kinds– yoga, spin, meditations, body weight workouts, outdoor runs, etc). I love this because I can filter classes based on the amount of time (10 mins, 15 mins, 20 mins, 30 mins, etc), filter by level (beginner, imtermediate, advanced), filter by music (rap yoga vs chill yoga), and teacher too. It’s freaking amazing. I do it on my ipad, but you can use a phone too. So great for when you’re traveling too!
10 minute yoga you tube videos: look ’em up, there are thousands of options and teachers. And for free 🙂
Spotify playlists: music always helps me, especially if I’m not doing a guided class and just wanna flow it out. I made this one the other day and have a feeling it’s gonna be on repeat for WEEKS!
Nighttime foam rolling: doing this at night has been game-changing for me. After hard workouts, and now post-birth, my IT bands and hips get crazy tight. This releases them, and makes me feel like I’m floating or had a full body massage. It’s amazing how much it changes your mood too. I love it at night before bed on days I have time.
Nighttime shoulder & neck massage with this thing. I know it looks SO WEIRD, but it’s amazing if your neck and shoulders get tight, and for any other trigger points that need releasing. Use it while you read or watch your favorite show.
