So, I’m just going to warn you right now: today has nothing to do with food or a healthy lifestyle.
You have my full permission to skip it completely. Seriously. #disclaimer, if there ever was one.
But, I guess it does have to do with life. And love. And the journey that both can be.
Or at least the journey that’s it been for me. And Kyle, in finding our ones. And each other.
(And that, it has been. For both of us, in our separate ways. It’s one I’m happy to share more about, if anyone finds it interesting– so, let me know sweet friend.)
But today, just a little sneak peak, of the most magical, blessed day, in every way.
Just as people say it is.
(and exactly how I would eye roll everytime).
But, it’s true.
A day with our most favorite and treasured people in the world.
Where everyone was fully present and tuned in, to this special, once-in-a-lifetime, deep and meaningful ritual that we humans do.
It’s kind of a miracle in itself, in that way.
In the most gorgeous, and full-of-natural-beauty place.
Amongst the vines and lit by the calm yellow sun, as it expanded and then softly set.
With our story and promises to each other, that left not only us with big fat tears, but from what I heard after– everyone else in hearing distance.
The depth. The realness. And thankfulness and humbleness, on the deepest level.
Radiating.
And the most amazing (but unfussy) food. And that wine. Oh man, that wine.
The bar, fully stocked with signature Simply Real Cocktail makings.
And a table full of little artisan desserts, made from a amazing lady who follows this exact blog every week, all the way across the state.
Little seating nooks and crannies with people laughing, catching up and meeting for the very first time. All loving on each other, toasting and smiling those big, fat smiles.
Also, the one hell of dance party. That I’ve never seen anything close to it, in all of my life. But am pretty sure I will take years to try and replicate it. Wonderful flower arrangements from a florist in League City.
And my dear friends behind the lenses, to capture it all. You know, just in case it felt too much like a dream.
Our day, this one.
A little gift, to always treasure.
