Because water is great. Sparkling too.
But sometimes, a lady needs something a little more out of her drink.
A little more festive. A little more fun. A little more bright. And spicy.
Something that says: Hey. I’m here, life. Let’s do this thing.
Because, with or without the cocktail part, there’s something to be said about sitting down with a beautiful glass, garnished well, and just taking a little pause in the day.
To relax, to recalibrate, or to celebrate. #dailyjoys, in other words. Which we all need- and daily. Especially if you’re wanting a healthy, vibrant and happy life.
That could be your smoothie. Your green juice. Your sparkling water with fruit.
Or, a great fun mocktail like this one. Slash cocktail.
You know. No judgement here. I love them all.
And I can’t stop making this one.
No sugar even needed.
Spicy Cilantro Limeade
Makes 2 servings
1/2 cup cilantro leaves
2 limes, juices
2-4 slices serrano pepper
3 oz good quality tequila
1 1/2 oz cointreau (or 1/2 orange juiced for a mocktail version)
1/4 cup sparkling water (I love the coconut LaCroix flavor here)
ice
Juice 2 limes, and add all ingredients (except the sparkling water) to a shaker with ice.
Pour cocktails into two glasses with ice, splitting equally. Garnish the cilantro sprigs and a lime peel or wedge.
Also great with a splash of coconut milk and pineapple juice (I like this one). Or coconut water too.
Try this! Then tell me know how it goes in the comments below.
