There have been a few things on my mind lately… Coming up on repeat? How to lean into this cozier, quieter, slower time to the fullest.
In some ways, it’s been needed. Nice, even.
I’ve had time for more walks, more cooking, more reading (the Noah kind and grown up kind), more gf sourdough making (ok it’s kinda addicting), more at home yoga, more baths, more precious and funny time with the little guy. And my other guy, at least on the weekends, which are magical.
And more being okay with stillness. Not feeling the need to get “fully” dressed or get ready beyond my 3 minute little routine. Because that’s just what feels good right now, & we could all use some more of what feels good.
Can I get an amen?
So many people have asked me over the past couple of months where I get my cozy clothes I’ve been wearing on repeat during quarantine– my go-to tanks & leggings, my softest, loungiest tee’s. My super soft joggers, and the best sweaters and pullovers.
I think when things are cray out in the world, it’s natural to go inward. To seek comfort, warmth and joy, even in little ways. Especially in little ways.
So, I wanted to give you guys a sweet round-up today of the cozy clothes I’ve been loving (and living in) lately. And well… all the time. Ha. This work from home thing has been my norm for over 10 years at this point, and it IS kind of an art: pulled together enough to not be energetically in your jammies all day, but comfy enough to focus on what you’re doing (and be ready at a moment’s notice for a quick walk break, workout, or snuggle sesh on the floor).
I hope you get some good use out of these beauties… I know I have been!
The above outfit because I’ve already gotten sooo many DM’s asking already and…aka it’s what I’ve been living in lately:
this top (I have this in blue and white, it’s so soft and easy to tie or leave loose)
this bra (this and the energy long line bra are my favorite lululemon bras- always order a size up on these!)
these pants (my favorite pants EVER. Love the solids but something about this print made me happy for spring)
SWEATSHIRTS + PULLOVERS THAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF:
This amazing ombre pullover in the softest colors
This half-zip pullover with the exact color blocking I need
An oversized crewneck sweatshirt (aka, I now own 2 of them, at $30 it’s such a find! Sooo soft too)
Dreamiest pale pink big sweatshirt…. yes plz.
I firmly believe terry cloth is making a comeback & fully support it via this crop sweatshirt
SETS + ROMPERS ARE THE NEW UNIFORM
This set manages to be SO cute (that one-shoulder detail though), and so cozy, at the same time
I would wear this animal-print romper for a week straight…
TANKS + BRALETTES YOU WON’T BE ABLE TO QUIT:
A sweet low-back bralette (can never have enough bralettes…. who even does real bras in quarantine? Plus it’s healthier for your lymph flow)
A soft, white cotton tank (perfect for warming-up weather)
Seamless bralette in soft white = the comfiest bra EVER. I wore these instead of nursing bras and now just can’t stop. Their entire seamless line is LIFE.
I love a cropped, loose tank and this color is so pretty
Another basic, simple tank (in black) that I could wear every day
Soft, gray muscle tank crop…… SO CUTE
Simple light support sports bra that’s perfect for yoga/work from home life/lounging around
BASICS YOU NEED:
Reusable face mask (that isn’t obnoxious)…. we all need this
A simple white crew neck tee (I could live in this)
I love this plain black baseball cap and wear it weekly
BOTTOMS/LEGGINGS I LIVE IN:
The best of the best of the best leggins. I love these in the PINK.
Another go-to fav legging (the camo is so so good)
I live in these leggings, from yoga to cooking to working to lounging. The best.
Can’t get over this print (and the comfiest leggings ever)
These joggers are seriously THE. COZIEST. pants ever.
These sweats bring me back to high school (in the best way)
Tie-dye ruffled sleep shorts— I love the pretty and simple colors
If sustainably made & handmade is more your jam right now (it def is for me when I actually get ready/am not in mom mode), check out these beautiful brands too:
HackwithDesign I was just introduced to this designer and I am obsessed! I got the chance to try on the Easy Wide Leg pant and the short sleeve Tie Top for a photoshoot and I can’t wait to get my own set). So comfy, all ethically made and beautiful fabrics! Also her swim line looks so beautiful too!
Vetta (I have this this flounce sleeve blouse in 2 colors and this apron jumpsuit in 2 colors too. I personally like buying piece by piece, but they have amazing pre-styled capsule wardrobes in a lot of different styles. )
