The bright side of quarantine life: lots of time spent playing in the kitchen, getting creative with what’s available and seeking the things that will make us feel good, from our cells to our skin, from our heads to our toes and everything in between.
My focus? Foods that nourish. That heal. That strengthen and promote the best functioning, internally, externally, all of it, which we could all use right now.
So this smoothie– it’s a boost in more ways than one. Packed full of vitamin C, beta-carotene, and the immune and nervous system healing properties of turmeric and ginger, it’s a perfect option to kick off your day with brightness.
Get yourself a punch of immunity uppers, fresh fruit and veggies, hydrating coconut water plus a pinch of cayenne if you’re into it, and call it a quarantinie.
To enhance the creaminess factor on this smoothie, add another ½ frozen banana or a splash of coconut milk, and sip away my friend!
