ABOUT THE BOOK:
Simply Real Eating is a not just a cookbook, it’s a true healthy lifestyle guidebook, all written with one goal in mind: to inspire you to eat better and take care of yourself (and those you love), but with more simplicity and joy, and in ways that work in the midst of a busy life. Weaved in and amongst the 125 stunningly beautiful, approachable real-food (and naturally gluten-free) recipes, is something much deeper: a conversation about the bigger picture of not just creating a healthy lifestyle, but creating a healthy lifestyle that lasts.
The book is broken down into Sarah’s 7 signature steps that make the real difference. Within each chapter, you’ll also find inspiring ideas on how to take these recipes and turn them into your own healthy daily rituals: throughout your days, weeks, and seasons, to help you create a healthy daily lifestyle that lasts.
So, imagine:
Mornings sipping gorgeous superfood lattes or smoothies, bites of better-than-coffeeshop baked healthy treats, warm cozy bowls, and satisfying weekend brunches.
Afternoons made easy with make-ahead dishes, salads, quick healthy toasts, and bowls for #lunchladies on the go, and the realistic recipes you need to make your weekdays work with ease, no matter what else is going on.
When that late afternoon hunger pang hits? Your inspired snack game is now covered.
Your healthier happy hours, done.
Evenings filled with beautiful and simple meals to help you gather around the table with the people you love the most, for both weeknight magic and hosting with ease.
Your date nights, upgraded.
And, of course, free sweets and sips for every season and reason.
All of the recipes in this book are
Simple
Easy
Naturally gluten-free and food sensitivity friendly
All real-food
5 ingredients or less (or close to it).
Delicious.
This book will change the game, your heart, your kitchen and your life.
INTRO:
It’s time for a better way to think about our food.
A more simple way. A more intentional way. A more delicious way. And a more calm and joyful way to be healthy that can actually last for the rest of your life, with ease.
Without the extremes.
Without the guilt.
Without the overwhelm.
Without all the stress.
Because this much I know is true: it doesn’t have to be so hard. We just have to make a change in how we’re approaching it.
For most of us, this means that we have to wipe the slate totally clean. To forget all the old programming, and outdated messages around food, and welcome in a new way of thinking about food that looks at our health in a much different and bigger picture way:
That it’s not just about the food. It’s about how deeply connected it is to the rest of our lives: physically, mentally, relationally, and emotionally too. It’s about learning how to live better in-between the black and white rules, in the beautiful land of gray, as I like to call it: with more ease, more freedom, more simplicity, and more grace.
In learning to embrace this, we can learn how to create a healthy lifestyle that actually lasts for our whole lives.
Why does that matter? So we can take back our time and energy to focus on what really matters in life: the people we love, our purpose and work in this world, and to be the best version of ourselves as possible. Because we’re only given a short time on this earth, so we might as well make it count.
So, welcome, my friend. To this way of life that I hope will simplify, encourage and uplift you, as you go about your daily life, no matter how busy you are, or the season of life you are in.
This book is my personal collection of the things—habits, foods and recipes—that have brought me back to good, over and over again, and the rituals behind them that have made a healthy lifestyle a lot more effortless, easy and long-lasting.
Learning how to honor and weave in these little daily acts of kindness for my body over time have nourished, sustained and filled me up physically, mentally and emotionally, through many seasons and ups and downs in my own life.
I wrote this book in hopes that these ideas will do the same for you.
I wrote this book because being healthy includes, but is so much more than, just the food you eat.
To remind you that we always have a choice in our mood, our energy, and what we choose to give to the world, starting with what we put in our mouths and on our tables. It’s all connected, always.
So whether you’re an entrepreneur, a leader, a parent or spouse, a student or seeker on a quest for your very best life, the equation is simple: eat real food most of the time, and you’ll feel better. Do it daily and with intention and you will be unstoppable.
The ultimate goal? That you feel calm, empowered and joyful around food, and in taking care of yourself too. To find the joy in eating and being well, as a lifestyle that can last. Because we all need new ideas. Ways to stay inspired and ways to remind ourselves to keep things simple and create more joy in our lives. And a way to always have those options and ideas at our fingertips in the moments that we need them most.
This book that you hold in your hands is just that. It isn’t just a cookbook.
It’s a life book.
I wrote this book for you.

I purchased the cookbook, trying to submit meal plan request. It’s asking for 9 digit book UPC code, not sure which # that is. Help please.
Sarah Adler of Simply Real Health says
It’s the 9 digit code on the back of the book on the barcode- or your order #. Both work! 🙂

Sarah,
Congratulations on all your accomplishments (including baby, of course!) I purchased your first book years ago and still enjoy it. I’ve been watching for the release of SRE and jumped at the chance to buy a few extra for gift using the Amazon promotion. Deep breath.. thought you should know, 2 of 3 arrived damaged – zero padding in box. Amazon is of course replacing the books, but my heart sank because the gifts I planned will be late, AND what a shame to bang up books! Thought you should be in the loop as it’s your hard work in the line. I know, books get banged up with use over the years. The crumpled corners aren’t THAT big a deal.. except when your giving a gift. Looking forward to enjoying your newest gift to us readers, thank you!

Hello. Just received my book. Yay! I signed up on the website here for the LIVE workshop starting January 6 by entering contact details and my book bar code. Upon submission a pop up screen directed me to head on over to my email inbox. I’ve done that and nothing has come in. I’m also going to sign up for the Meal Plan. What steps should I take if I don’t receive the email for the the workshop? I’m looking forward to it and want to ensure I don’t miss out. Thank you Sarah!

Hi Sarah:
I was gifted your cookbook about two years ago. I have really enjoyed everything I’ve tried. Every.single.recipe! I made the sheet pan chicken w/vegetables tonight for the 2nd time. My 7yo daughter has recently turned a corner and has been much more willing to taste new foods (ever since I started having her choose a meal each week and I have her rate the recipes). This was my first 5-star rating, so kudos to you! I only placed a quarter of a Brussels sprout on her plate. She asked for seconds to include some of them. Thank you for all of your hard labor and love you poured into this project!
