Fact: I’ve had more than 5 people comment to me this week that I give so many of my healthy recipes and advice away for free, that they almost feel bad.
(Almost).
And don’t I run a business?
Yes. Totally.
I must be assuming too much.
Assuming that you guys know that every post or email you see here is just a TINY thing I do in the context of my business. Not even a sliver. Not even a pinprick.
It’s just to show you what you would get, TIMES TEN, when you become a client of mine.
Imagine the ideas you see here, but multiple times a week and with access to me any time of day for questions, ideas and help, daily tracking options, and more healthy and easy recipes than your head can handle. Like your own personal pocket-dial-food-expert, no matter the situation you find yourself in. Cool, right?
That’s my business.
So, I’m just being a little tease on here with my once a week ideas + recipes.
It feels good to say it out loud. Calling it like it is.
I do it for two reasons.
#1- because I myself, am a skeptic. If someone tries to tell me they’ll help me, I ignore it, flat-out. They have to actually show me, prove it to me. To let me try it out and make my own decision.
Such a tough cookie, I know.
#2- I like to share good things. Especially simple ways to make your life healthier and easier. And thus more energized, productive, and happier overall. It’s part of my mission and bigger purpose with my time on this earth. Yes, I really think that. And if these once a week ideas are all you need, I LOVE IT! Enjoy it and feel good about it. I feel great about giving it to you.
For those of you that know you have a lot more to learn [or a lot of bad information to unlearn], there are so many options to address the specific and daily obstacles that keep you from living a healthy lifestyle.
Because that is the other love of my life. Helping you get it right and to make a change that lasts longterm by addressing food, your mentality around food, real-life obstacles and roadblocks, and how to balance it all without being rigid [and crazy].
So. Just so we’re crystal here. I have personal coaching clients– where I custom create healthy lifestyle programs to fit the demands of your daily life, no matter where you are starting from, for 4 weeks, 8 weeks or 3 months at a time.
I also teach people in a hands-on way: in-home real food cooking lessons {individuals and groups}, demystifying grocery store trips and basic real-food education sessions, to anyone, anywhere.
And then I offer downloadable programs for those who just need help with the practical + more efficient side of healthy meal planning.
And speak at any school, doctor’s office, gym, studio, book club, or group who are curious to learn more about real food and a healthy life, well lived.
So if you don’t know, now you know.
[Thank you, Notorius B.I.G].So glad to clear the air.
Now, I can give you what you probably REALLY came here for.
These sweet cuties.
Because it’s almost summertime. And eventually you will want something cold + sweet, and having a pint of ice cream in the house (even if it’s good ice cream) is too tempting to keep around week after week.
So instead, a treat you can feel good about- no added sugar and naturally gluten and dairy free for those of you with food sensitivities.
3 ingredients, 5 minutes, some parchment paper and a freezer is all you need.
Frozen Chocolate Pistachio “Ice Cream” Bites + Bars:
Ingredients:
Makes approximately 10 bites or 4 bars
2 ripe bananas
1 bar dark chocolate
1 handful pistachios (approximately 12-14)
[sea salt for sprinkling {optional}, parchment paper, straws or skewers {optional}]
Directions for Bites:
Peel each banana and slice into 1 ” pieces. Melt chocolate in a small pan or bowl. Dip each banana in and set face up on parchment paper. Sprinkle with pistachios and sea salt. Freeze for 2 hours or more.
Directions for Bars:
Peel each banana and slice half. Roll in the melted chocolate and place on parchment paper (can be a bit messy). Cut straws or skewers in half and skew the banana on the stick. Sprinkle with pistachios and sea salt. Freeze for 2 hours or more.
Notes: The bites would also do amazingly well blended up with some ice cubes for a milkshake-like healthy treat. One reader also commented that slicing and freezing the bananas for 2 hours first makes handling them with the chocolate much easier if you have the time! Also try using different type of chocolate- milk, coffee, mint, etc and mixing up the chopped nut varieties as well. Adding coconut flakes, chia seeds or flax seeds would be great healthy additions as well!
