The green smoothie has been summer-ized.
Cuz it’s time for some ice ice baby.
Shusheeeeeees for all. But, you know. Upgraded this time.
Because why should kids have all the summer fun?
The Coconut-Chocolate Green Slushie
Makes 1 delicious serving
2-4 cups organic spinach
1/4 to 1/2 frozen banana
2 tablespoons coconut butter/coconut manna (I use this one)
2 tablespoons cocoa nibs
1 scoop clean protein powder (I love this plant-based one, or this grass-fed whey one)
1/4 cup water or homemade almond/cashew/hemp milk (plus more if you need to blend, but add slowly. Less liquid = thicker consistency)
2 cups ice
Blend all ingredients together (except cocoa nibs). Add nibs in the last 15 seconds and pour into a jar or bowl. Optional to sprinkle with coconut flakes to serve.

This slushee looks good! I’m going to try it out this weekend! One question: if I decide to make it without the protein powder, do you think it will change the consistency of the slushee? If so, do you have any recommendations for someone who decides to omit the protein powder? Thank you!!
