A few of things (ok, fine all the things) I am loving this fall, that are helping to keep me healthy, inspired and on top of my game this season. And full of joy. Because, one without the other is just no way to live.
In the categories of ADORN, FUN NEW THINGS TO TRY, TO EAT, TO READ & TO LISTEN. Per request, rounded up in one spot, so you don’t have to keep chasing down my instagram stories.
To adorn:
While I feel a little ridiculous posting what I’m wearing (I am nothing close to a trendy fashion blogger, and most of my clothes are 4-6 years old, some circa Target, and most from Nordstrom Rack), the truth is that I do love creating and crafting how I A D O R N myself.
That’s how I think about it– how do I want these clothes to make me feel? Texture wise, but also how I show up in my own skin and presence each day. Much like food, workouts, and the people I surround myself with, a little intention and a lot of joy go a long way.
And lately, I’m so into the train of buying fewer things, but good quality pieces each season that I wear for everything. So, if it interests you, I’ll be sprinkling them in from time to time. And if it doesn’t, well, just skip down to the food. You do you, my friend.
*if you don’t have the like2knowit app, and you love this new adorn piece of the blog, you may want to download it now, it’s free. Then you only have to screenshot or “like” the pic on IG/FB or click the pic on the blog and it sends you the exact link with all the deets, and with other items like it, so you don’t have to hunt it down.
And you can set the email preferences whenever you want. It’s been so fun to try! Let me know what you think. I linked the ones below for today but because clothes have such a short season, it’s a great way to stay updated. I also added a new section to the blog side-bar where you can always come and grab everything on one spot.
Free People Leather Boots: Ok, I’m no where even close to being a “shoe girl”, but these have taken over my whole heart/whole life as of late. They literally match with everything, are super comfortable and soft (I have baby sensitive feet, so if they are comfortable for me that usually means pure butter for others), and I love the cut up the side (while still keeping my toes warm and being relatively profesh for meetings when my nike frees & lulus won’t cut it).
Truth: these are the most expensive shoe I’ve ever bought. I cringed when I saw it. And truly, I only bought them because I copied my sister and saw how much she loved and wore them and had to be given a push. But I do have to say, they’re 100% worth it, if you need something like it in your life!
Sweaters like this are life. Basically like cool blankets that you get to wear anywhere— as a robe, on a walk, instead of coat. And with a funky print like this, all you need are jeans/yoga pants and a tee and you are stylin’.
a fun little amazon cutie that’s perfect for fall layering.
This lamb sweater/jacket:
Ok. You guys know about this obsession by now I’m sure. I cannot stop with this one. It goes with EVERYTHING (workout stuff to dresses and jeans, etc). And people just want to hug me….so if you needed the real reason, no shame about it.
Zara Trafaluc high waist skinny jeans:
ZARA is my jean lover. I have only bought 2 pairs over the last year, (both these, the stretchy high-waist ones, in 2 different colors) and I might as well throw all my others out. They’re all I want to wear, and are half as expensive as other brands. Such a good find! And so many styles if these aren’t it for you.
Confession: I am a puffy-jacket hoarder. Seattle-lites I know you get me. I mean, you wear them EVERY DAY around here, from October to June. So, I have a few, and like to mix them up. Long, short, extra puffy, slim. Black, gray, red, blue… and this baby. So when I say most often grabbed this time of year– I’m serious.
I’ve had this jacket for a over year, but they still have them in stock (I had to check after so many of you guys asked about it). It’s the perfect lightweight but warm bomber jacket, easy to travel with and great to layer with. I get compliments on this one wherever I go (and with workout clothes on, which is always my true test).
J-crew off the shoulder sweatshirt:
So, I currently get seperation anxiety when I don’t have this on. You guys. I can’t. Kyle is so sick of it, but it’s because he doesn’t have one too (the everything/everytime/everyplace sweatshirt). It’s like a sweater but…… sweatshirt. One shouldered, and sooooo cozy. Also, my This Is Us sweatshirt because I can wipe my tears on my shoulder instead of staining more shirts. ha.
In black. This is literally on my body 95 % of the time these last few months and has earned it’s spot as my favorite sweatshirt of all time. Order it one size up from what you normally wear (I have medium). POCKETS for walks and yoga are key.
These Ugg Cardy Knit Booties, in black or grey.
These are also in the running for best “shoes” I’ve ever owned/bought/most worn.
A cutie little high heeled clog brand from Sweden that sells only on Amazon. I am obsessed with these too, for a little height (hello, give me all the help in that dept) with warm toes for the winter. Plus just kinda funky and fun, and they match with everything.
To make life better:
Alright, calling all my fellow woo-woo mammas. These ones are for you. This summer, I started to notice that most of the cool hipster yoga studios in town have such a great smell when you walk in. A little woodsy, vanilla-y, sandalwood, but not too musky or overpowering (because, ew, gross).
It turns out, it’s a natural incense– a totally clean and pure one from a actual tree, called Palo Santo. It was traditionally used to clear spaces of negative energy and call all the good energy back in. A modern day sageing of sorts.
Because I’ve been so obsessed with essential oils for the last 9 months (more on that later), this was a a easy try. And now, a new obsession. I’ve been lighting them around the house and it’s so soothing and nice after a long day, or for a little Sunday work session on the couch.
Mineral Fusion Lip Tint, in smolder:
So. I’m already on my 2nd stick from when I posted this on instagram. Why? Because, it’s good for allllll the things. Like before I go workout or go to yoga and don’t want to look like I just rolled out of bed (even though I did).
And when drinking water and sweating, the last thing I want is chemicals on my face/mouth. I mean, that’s true always but I make exceptions for big nights out. Daily though? This color is perfect, it has NO CHEMIES, and I have one in my purse, one in my car, and one in my makeup bag. Excessive but worth it.
Not new to my loves, but always soooo good. I do facemask Mondays around here, and this one is so easy and makes such a noticeable difference in my skin for the week! Also, totally pure, clean, and no chemies, duh.
Berkey Water Filter (with regular + flouride filters).
I can’t tell you how long I researched water filters. Late night rabbit-hole, to the max. For more than a year. I think knowing we were moving was the catalyst. That and looking at my sketchy gross Brita every morning, wondering if it was even doing anything. Even, the best water I’ve ever tasted. I keep talking about it, and every person that comes over our house I make them taste test it like a weirdo.
This system is not “cheap” but in comparison to buying all the replacements filters for a fridge/carbon filter like brita, and with such cleaner water (it filters out flouride, arsenic, lead, chlorine, BPA, heavy metals, etc but keeps the good minerals we need in tact), it already feels so worth it. I have the 1.5 gallon travel size to test it out, but for bigger households you might want the next size up.
This is such a tiny thing that has made the biggest difference for me in how I start my day. Cholorphyll (while dark and semi-scary looking in the glass) is actually minty tasting and even has a little sweetness to it. And like most dark green things from the earth, it’s so revitalizing and boosting for our bodies. It reduces inflammation, improves the quality of our red blood cell supply (aka, cancer fighting), and is naturally detoxing and energizing.
The best part? It’s just a dropper you add to your water. I like having this before any coffee or tea in the morning, it’s an instant booster. Or, as the weather has turned, I’ve started adding it to my matcha for extra green healing boost. Whole Foods also has a their own brand that I love too!
This little vanity organization rack for essential oils and/or lipsticks/makeup.
Magnesium is like the wonder mineral. For sleep, muscle recovery, and better digestion, amongst all it’s other traits. I’ve always loved having a few scoops of Natural Calm powder most weeknights as a little wind-down routine. But this is kinda more fun. And highly absorbable, so they say.
So, my nightly ritual: I mist a few pumps of this into my hands and add in a few drops of that night’s essential oil (don’t worry, I have a fulllllll post all about essential oils coming soon because it took me a full year to stop being sketched out about them, and people who rave about them. GIANT EYE ROLL. Except now, they literally make my life. More soon.)
Anyways, I rub this little mixture on the bottoms of my feet and inside my wrists so as I fall asleep I’m relaxed, so calm, and happy. And smelling great, duh, before I pull my eyemask on.
Custom Letter Message Board With Letters:
The amount of joy this thing brings me is weird. That is all I have to say. Because a little extra humor and feel good reminders around your house are never a bad thing.
Always my favs. These natural ones are so easy to pop on, and make me feel (and look) like superwoman, when all the sleep in the world isn’t quite happening for a few days in a row. Real life supplies, in other words.
To eat:
The only store bought almond milk I’ve ever found that doesn’t have CRAP in it. No emulsifiers, gums, carageenean, nothing! Just almonds, water, and vanilla bean. So great for the weeks when I don’t have time to make my own but need it for recipes/bevvies.
Oh hello, new best friend of mine.
These have saved my life and have been my one-handed #LUNCHLADY meal go-to. They never have them in grocery stores (WHY?!) but you can stock up on amazon. Ingredients: so pure, there’s 3 only: coconut meat, coconut water, coconut oil (plus turmeric or cinnamon depending what flavor). The savory one with arugula, pesto and turkey is still on repeat around here.
these for sweet (aka, natural peanut/almond butter + banana + shredded coconut)
these for savory (aka, arugula + pesto. Sliced turkey or shredded chicken optional). Or warm up last night’s leftovers and wrap ’em up. Cozy warm meal approved too!
Foursigmatic Mushroom Superfood Elixirs:
I’ve talked about these babies so many times before, but as warm bevvie season starts, they’re back in action in this kitchen. And no, these are not like mushrooms you grill or put in risotto.
These are coffees, matchas and non-caffeine elixirs with adaptogenic mushroom superfood powders in them. Meaning they help your body naturally adapt to stress, boost your immune system, and calm it. I think of them like magical little potions in bevvie form.
I don’t love every single product because a lot of them have stevia in it, but I do love and use these 4 below a lot. Like coffee? Start with the Mushroom Coffee Mix (side note, this is also a great option for traveling with it’s single serve packets).
If you love hot chocolate, try the Hot Cacao Mix (its caffeine free and sugar and stevia free!) Personally, I love mixing a pack of each of those together with a splash of the Three Trees almond milk. Or try the Chaga Elixir as a non caffeine BOOST, that tastes pretty much like coffee.
They just came out with a organic matcha as well, and I’m currently testing it out, although it will be hard to compete with Matchaful’s amazing taste. Both are organic and sourced well at least.

In the Company of Women by Grace Bonney. Inspiring stories of women entreprenurs doin’ their thang, and how different it can all look, across cultures, industries and time. A little breath of fresh air.
Braving the Wilderness by Brene Brown. Her latest and greatest, and always an uplifter this woman.
Mystical Girl, Material World by Ruby Warrington. #woowoobookclub alert. I got about half-way through this fascinating book and realized that wait a second…. I knew her! We both attended Lululemon’s immersion retreat 2 years ago, and I felt so proud. Writing a book is no joke, and this one is a gem if the world of woo fascinates you.
To listen:
Always my go-to when I need a little lift. This woman oozes joy and goodness and her topics feel so refreshing and different than the norm. Or, see a list of all of my other fav pods here.
This book has shifted so much for me in my own journey with healing my digestive system in the last year. This book is not for everyone, and if you are vegan or plant based, be ready to probably be mad about it. It’s opposite most things you’ve probably heard, but has some great value and take-away points. But if you or someone you know is trying to heal their gut or overall health in big ways and has felt stuck or stalled(autoimmune conditions, gluten sensitivity, etc), this one is worth a listen on Audible, or paperback.

Thank you for posting this! I just bought a pair of Lotta’s and LOVE them!! One quick question – where did you find the gold half circle necklace??
Sarah Adler of Simply Real Health says
Of course! A friend gave it to me as a shower gift (it’s a “D”) 🙂 I think it was from Anthro last year- so maybe they still have it?

LOVE this list – thank you! And for the way you’ve changed my thinking about food.
Just wanted to share – if you go to Lotta’s website, they also have a sale and seconds section that changes all the time. I scored some amazing black clogs for $65 including shipping – and I have yet to figure out what the imperfection is! ❤️
