When something that’s been on your BIG DREAMS & manifesting list for 3 years, comes true. Especially something that everyone told you wasn’t possible. Cue the immediate stream of happy tears over here.
And this one isn’t just about me. It’s about community. A legacy. And giving such a bigger platform for my message of a truly healthy life being one that’s more intentional on all levels- physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
No matter what you look like or what size you are or what life stage you’re in. Or where you come from. It’s about creating a life that feels good, aligned and full of love, inside and out.
It’s about bringing all of the parts of your life together. And how you show up for yourself. And creating a movement around living your best life, with others that are on that same path.
It’s why I’m so honored and so freaking excited to be the newest LULULEMON AMBASSADOR! It’s a partnership I’ve dreamt about for a long time, to make an even bigger difference in this world. Seattle & U-village, get ready for some majorly FUN & inspiring stuff coming up in the next 2 years!
Also— just a reminder in case you need it, to not give up on your dreams! Go bigger with them. Take the time to write them down. Pray and meditate over them. Have rituals around them. Take action on them. Even if it takes YEARS (which most of the big ones do).
Do it anyways. Time passes anyways. And you’ve only got this one life to live, so you might as well make it count.
FAST FORWARD TO YESTERDAY:
I’ll tell you just about the LAST thing I wanted to do being 5 months postpartum: be photographed in my workout clothes for a life size image that will hang in a store for a few years.
The voices started almost immediately: But, I’m not strong at all right now. I have no muscle. I’m 2 sizes bigger in my tanks (hi nursing). My hips are a little wider. All things I’m fine with in normal life for this life phase, but when they told me my ambassador shoot with @lululemon was in a few days (today), I panicked at first.
And hated that I did. But I did. But it totally challenged me, to really look at what was going on.
Because then I realized— WAIT A MINUTE. Maybe that’s the whole point.
It’s what I truly believe and talk about all the time: that being healthy isn’t about being perfect. It was just coming in a different form than I was used to (food).
Because, honestly? This is me, right now. This is me being HEALTHY, exactly where I’m at.
Healthy in my thoughts. Healthy in eating good food and taking care of myself, my business and my family. Healthy in moving my body how it feels good to right now.
There is no 6 pack (let’s be honest, there never has been ?) or rippling muscles in sight— but you know what?
That’s not all what it’s about. I think we’ve got to change that conversation. Healthy is an internal feeling, an attitude and a way you live your life vs a certain look. And it doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s version.
It’s about embodying your body, fully. Its about loving it. Moving it and being kind to it— with your food and thoughts too. It’s about showing up for yourself. And not apologizing for however that looks.
So when you see my picture in the store (those of you in near the U-Village store in Seattle), I hope that’s what you see: A human. A imperfect one. A strong woman and a healthy woman in multiple ways, wearing multiple hats and doing the best she can in each moment.
Without (too much) judgement on herself. Or extra pressure. A work in progress, always— but someone who still shows up, doesn’t let fear. take over, who says yes, and loves with everything she’s got.
Thankful to partner with a company who’s with me on that.
