A few weeks back, I told you all about my goal this year: to give gifts that have an actual impact far past this holiday season alone.
Less stuff. More game-changers, shifters, and encouragers for the ways we really want to live and the ways we really want to feel in our lives. Be it books, tools, people, or ideas.
It’s one of the reasons that I wanted to change things up this year, especially with the most popular Simply Real Health gift- the cookbook.
Lately, the more and more I think about it, and the more events I do where I get to meet you all in person, I feel so deeply inspired by how many of you have gifted this book to someone you love, or someone around you that needed some healthy inspiration in their life.
I can’t even count the amount of incredible stories that I’ve seen and heard all through the year because of it. So this year, as we enter the holiday season, I want to encourage that beautiful giving and generosity that I see you guys doing as well, and make it bloom even more.
So, now through January 1st, 5% of all cookbook sales will be donated to Food Lifeline. Each dollar donated covers approximately 5 meals for those in need, including fresh produce and veggies. Amazing, right? Let’s do it. Like a double gift.
Head on over to Amazon today and use the code (K5X634QL) at checkout here for the 5% giveback AND 20% off the book (this has never happened before, but it’s my little gift and end-of-the-year thank you for being a part of this amazing and encouraging community).
And because I always get lots of emails from you guys this time of year asking for a list of my favorite things, here are some other fun, meaningful, inspiring and healthy-lifestyle encouraging little items to share with those you love:
The Simply Real Health Healthy Holiday Gift Guide:
#1. This darling essential oil diffuser. I’m not one of those essential-oil-on-everything, for every-cause kind of a girl, but have loved playing around with them, as little ways to encourage #dailyjoys. I set this baby on my desk (with a few drops of peppermint and lavender), or by my bed (with a little eucalyptus) when I sleep and it just makes the best ‘biance (and smell).
#2. The wind-proof, take walks in any weather condition, see-through bubble umbrella. This is literally one of the best things I’ve bought in the last year. Keeps you warm and snuggled while you get your daily fresh air on.
#3. The latest star in my snapchat and insta stories, this Corksicle (peach) [or Corksicle (black)] large hot mug. No joke, it keeps my matcha, yerba mate and butter coffee lattees steaming hot for 3 hours.
The perfect amount of time to slowly enjoy it at my desk, or out on those chilly walks (no excuses now). Also, I want them in all the colors.
#4. A local Seattle little gem, San Juan Sea Salt, is the perfect finish to anything you cook. Sweets and treats, soups, salads, roasted veggies, etc. Don’t be afraid of salt, but use the good (sea) stuff.
#5. Fun barware (for mocktails, cocktails and healthy bevvies). Currently, I can’t stop with these two, both from Crate and Barrel:
These Martin Copper Cup Glasses and these Hatch Rocks Glass
Another #dailyjoy= creating works of beauty in your kitchen. Drinks too. Good glassware is everything.
#6. A Cherry Bombe Magazine subscription. It only releases 4 times a year, but damn if it isn’t the best, most inspiring and most authentic indie food magazine out there. If you’ve got a foodie lady in your life, this is a GEM.
#7. No healthy list of mine would be complete without my favorite of all time Spiralizer, by Paderno. My entire life, I’d been using the small hand-held crank one, and I just upgraded a few months ago and my mind is BLOWN. So worth it. Especially for families or transitioning eaters, because who doesn’t like pasta?!
#8. All those matcha lattes and coconut/butter coffees require a little handheld Frother, duh. The perfect little stocking stuffer, for quick mornings. Pair with the Corksicle (#3), the Collagen Peptide Powder (below), and Matchaful’s Matcha (below) for amazing little gift set.
#9. I know it seems unsexy, but this Collagen Peptide Powder (grass-fed) is literally one of my favorite things right now in regards to ridiculously stable energy, a quick hit of good quality protein, healing your digestive track and fighting wrinkles all at the same time. Add a scoop to any hot drink, soup or smoothie and watch the magic happen.
#10. Matchaful Matcha travel packs or a sweet emerald grade tin. Organic matcha, sourced by one of the coolest #ladybosses in Brooklyn who knows what’s up. Read more about this amazing little superfood latte here. Be kinder to your adrenals and body with this coffee alternative.
And because they love you guys, make sure you use the code “SIMPLYREALHEALTH” at checkout for 20% off your order!
#11. This Lodge Cast Iron Skillet (12 inch). Aka, the only pan I ever use. Seriously. For everything. It makes your cooking time less, and give a great sear for veggies, salmon, or lamb burgers, with very little clean up (just wipe with a paper towel and re-oil).
#12. The queen of the kitchen, my lady Vitamix blender (white). It’s like no other, for the one on your list who is serious about a lifetime of health. Chop onions, blend amazing green smoothies and juices, puree soups in seconds, make those little lattes. This is the number one thing I use in my kitchen, hands down.
#13. These cutie Speckled Mugs. Because cute mugs art pieces for your tabletops and desks, of course. And it will make you enjoy and savor the contents so much more. #dailyjoys, yet again.
#14. Chinook & Company Wild Copper River Smoked Sockeye Salmon jars and canned Wild Sockeye Salmon tins. I just met this local #ladyboss business owner out of Ketchikan, AK, and her wild smoked salmon is freaking AMAZING. (From a born and raised Seattle-lite speaking here, remember).
She gave me a sample of her copper river smoked mason jars (below) and I literally ate the entire thing in one sitting in my car post meeting. #allthethings. It’s not too salty, and full of amazing omega 3 fatty acids that are canned and shelf stable for quick and easy snacks and entertaining. Easy and healthy, boom.
She’s also generously offered 10% off all online orders for Simply Real Health-ers through December 12th with the code “SIMPLYREALHEALTH”. Trust me on this one. You need these in your pantry this season, or as a perfect gift to anyone who’s busy and on the go, or loves hosting.
#15. This Citrus Juicer. A gamechanger for lemon-water, lemon-ginger tonic, or healthy margaritas and cocktails. A perfect little stocking stuffer that catches those tricky seeds and keeps your hands dry, if you don’t already have one. Pair with the Crate and Barrel glasses (#5).
#16. This local Sea Salt + Sage Paddywax candle. Because candles make you a calmer, better person, duh. And no one dislikes getting one. Another #dailyjoy encourager, stress reducer, and aromatherapy booster.
#17. Gabby Bernstein’s The Universe Has Your Back book. A perfect into into the world of meditation and personal development, from this generation’s thought leader. I adore Gabby and her books have shifted and changed my life in crazy ways over the years. This is a great into for anyone looking to deepen their spiritual side, and connection to a higher power.
#19. A Headspace App subscription (monthly or yearly). This app makes meditation as a concept (and practice) less weird and more approachable for EVERYONE. This is a great app that you can take anywhere, with 10 minute meditations. A perfect starter gift for those looking/searching to get more into meditation, without having any background.
#18. The Desire Map book by Danielle Leporte. My favorite of all favs, this book is the perfect gift for those in a life transition of any kind (business, personal, with relationships, etc). Half beautifully written book, half workbook, this is an amazing gift to help plan out your year with more intention and grace.
#19. Bose Noise-Cancelling Earbuds. Ok, ok. I know, I used to think that these were just excessive. But, studies have shown that canceling earphones help you focus. By reducing background noise, your body’s instincts for stress calm down. These have been total game-changers for work hours, flying on any airplane, and to amp up your workouts and make it feel like you in the middle of a Soul Cycle class when it’s just a party of one at the gym.
Ok, that’s it! Healthier, happier (and more meaningful) giving this year, ok? Join me 🙂

Sarah, how does the collagen powder taste?
Sarah Adler of Simply Real Health says
Paige, it’s totally unflavored. I know it sounds weird but it’s so good for you- your gut, skin, anti-aging, etc. It just makes your drink a little thicker!
