The bright side of quarantine life: lots of time spent playing in the kitchen, getting creative with what’s available and seeking the things that will make us feel good, from our cells to our skin, from our heads to our toes and everything in between.

My focus? Foods that nourish. That heal. That strengthen and promote the best functioning, internally, externally, all of it, which we could all use right now.

Get yourself a punch of immunity uppers, fresh fruit and veggies, hydrating coconut water plus a pinch of cayenne if you’re into it, and call it a quarantinie.

It’s one of my favorite smoothies from the new cookbook and is packed full of goodness that (paired with a little self-care and a lot of social distancing) is sure to keep you feeling healthy.
