Carrot Turmeric + Ginger Smoothie
Makes 1 serving
1 small orange
1 carrot, chopped
½ banana, frozen
½ cup frozen mango or ½ fresh mango, cubed
½ cup coconut water
1½ teaspoon grated turmeric or ¼ teaspoon ground turmeric powder
1 teaspoon grated ginger or ¼ teaspoon ground ginger powder
pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
1 tablespoon shelled hemp seeds or chia seeds (optional)
½ cup ice
Directions:
Place all ingredients except ice in a blender, and blend until well combined. Add ice and continue to blend until smooth. Serve cold.
