The best use of quarantine time (in my humble opinion): is seeing this time as a gift as best you can. Like, what CAN you do right now, instead of thinking about all the things you can’t. If we’re able to be home and stay safe, we are lucky right now. Right?
And, if you’re home, you might as well learn some new skills that will help make your life, your body, your mind + your health even better. One of my favorites right now? GUA SHA. It’s an ancient facial massage and gentle sculpting practice that drains out puffiness, gives you that healthy glow, detoxes your lymphatic system, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and turns on your sympathetic nervous system (the one that helps you relax).
YOU GUYS, I WAS SO SKEPTICAL ON THIS ONE, but I freaking love doing this– especially in these days. It’s the perfect thing as a busy mama with a lot happening right now: it’s so portable, takes about 5 minutes, you can do it day or night, or any free 5 minutes you want, and helps you both relax AND look like you just got a facial. Multi-tasking at it’s best, right?
