YOU GUYS. IT’S HERE!
I can’t even believe that I’m holding it right now. The advance copy of The Simply Real Eating Cookbook is finally here– REAL, LIVE and IN PERSON. Ok, well almost here…..this is the one copy out in print right now, until the book officially gets released next month (save the date for November 19th, 2019…….or grab a copy on pre-sale now, because I’m going to be giving away some major free goodies for those that buy before 11/19, that you def will want. So, how does it feel? It’s the question people always ask next.
Well, there are very few moments in life where I am speechless. But when I unwrapped this book and lifted it out of the box, there was a tiny moment of sweet pause, before the tears started flowing. My fingers traced over the cover, and then the back slowly. I was almost nervous to look inside. It was the culmination THREE years of work I was holding. Three years of so much of my life and my heart, finally in my hands.
It’s a wild feeling: a tangible creation of everything I believe in, and teach, and live. And a capture for me personally of these last three years, of all the life that happened though the process: through running a business, healing my own health with the recipes I was writing (twice over in that time frame), of feeling great, then getting pregnant (and being excited about that, but oh sooo very sick and out of commission for 5 months, yet the show must go on), to turning in the manuscript exactly 7 days before baby Noah was born, then through the process becoming a mama, and editing with a 4 week old in my arms. To say it’s been a journey is a understatement.
But more on that part, later. I want to share it all, the full process, and behind-the-scenes, of what it’s really been like creating a cookbook this second time around, in a much different way than first one was done. And what this book is about– because it’s so much more than just food. So stay tuned around here in the next few weeks, because I’ll be sharing it all.
But back to that day. Eventually, I slowly cracked it open. My fingers running gently over each and every page, just trying to take it all in. Cue even more tears and every emotion, because of it.
I don’t want to give too much away– and I want for you each to have your own experience with it.
But, you guys, I will say this:
It’s better than I even ever imagined. It’s BEAUTIFUL. Like, coffee table stunning (which shouldn’t be that surprising given that Carina was behind the lens). I seriously cannot wait for you all to hold it, to read it, and to experience it for yourself. And even more– to start cooking from it and sharing it with people you love, and for it to be part of your own kitchens and lives this year, and for so many years to come.

Thank you guys so much for being here, for always encouraging and inspiring me throughout this process. You have no idea how much your messages, excitement and all those pre-orders mean to me– for REAL. You are the reason I did this book. And the reason this day meant so much to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting this crazy mission I’m on to teach people how to keep it simple with real food so they can live a more beautiful, intentional life.
